J. Spencer Williams
President & CEO

As President and CEO, J. Spencer Williams applies more than 25 years of experience in starting, building and leading businesses in the financial services industry. Under his leadership, Retirement Clearinghouse has introduced new industry best practices, been recognized for innovation, improved the operations of thousands of retirement plans, and enhanced the retirement prospects of hundreds of thousands of retirement plan participants.

Prior to joining Retirement Clearinghouse, Williams served in numerous roles with MassMutual Financial Group, including: starting and building the company’s retirement income and rollover IRA lines of business; founding and serving as CEO of Persumma Financial, LLC, a MassMutual company formed to provide a new generation of retirement services to corporate defined contribution plans; and serving as a member of the MassMutual Retirement Services Group executive team in such positions as CFO.

A veteran, Williams served on active duty in the U.S. Navy for five years and participated in the liberation of Grenada and the United Nations’ peacekeeping operations in Beirut, Lebanon.

Williams earned his B.A. degree in English from the United States Naval Academy and an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh. He is registered with the NASD as a General Securities Principal and General Securities Representative.

 

E. Thomas Johnson, Jr.
Head of Business Development 

E. Thomas (Tom) Johnson Jr. is Retirement Clearinghouse’s Head of Business Development within the financial services industry. He also works with Spencer Williams on RCH public policy development.

A financial services industry veteran of more than 35 years, Johnson previously was SVP and head of Business Development for New York Life’s Retirement Income Security business, where he was responsible for developing and leading New York Life’s strategy with regard to guarantees in retirement plans and rollover IRAs. Prior to New York Life, Johnson was with MassMutual for 12 years, most recently as head of Business Development for the company’s Retirement Income Business. Johnson began his career at The Johnson Companies, a benefits consulting firm, recognized as the birthplace of the 401(k) savings plan.

He has a B.A. in Religion from Gettysburg College and attended the Harvard Business School Program for Management Development. He has been a Board member of the Plan Sponsor Council of America, the Retirement Income Industry Association and a trustee for the Employee Benefit Research Institute.

 

Neal Ringquist
Executive Vice President

Neal Ringquist is Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Retirement Clearinghouse. In this capacity, he is responsible for the company’s overall marketing strategy and plan sponsor sales channel.

Ringquist has been at the forefront of developing and delivering innovative wealth management solutions to the retirement and investment advisory market for more than 25 years. He joined RCH from Advisor Software, Inc. (ASI), where he served as President and Chief Operating Officer for nine years, responsible for day-to-day operations of this privately held financial technology company. Previously, Ringquist was vice president of sales and marketing for Morningstar Associates, LLC, a registered investment advisor. Earlier, he was executive vice president of sales, marketing and client service for mPower.com, Inc. (acquired by Morningstar), which established him as one of the early enterers into the online advice movement.
He was also Senior Vice President and manager of Institutional Trust Investment Services for Wells Fargo Bank, where he was responsible for portfolio management and investment product delivery for institutional trust clients. Ringquist also held positions with Bankers Trust Company and William M. Mercer Inc.

Ringquist holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Middlebury College and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

 

Dan Wright
Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer for Retirement Clearinghouse, Dan Wright manages daily operations. Wright has more than 20 years of experience in the broker-dealer, mutual fund, investment management and retirement services industries. Prior to joining Retirement Clearinghouse, Mr. Wright was a partner with Hobbs | Madison, Inc., where he specialized in business and technology strategy, design and operations management.

Wright previously served as senior vice president at Pioneer Investments, where he was responsible for technology, investment operations and shareholder services. Wright also served as Chief Information Officer for Persumma Financial, Senior Vice President of Operations and Technology for Babson Capital, and as Chief Information Officer for Liberty Financial Companies.

Wright has a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Southern New Hampshire University and a B.G.S. degree in Business Management from the University of New Hampshire.

 

Spencer Pringle
Executive Vice President of Retirement Solutions

Spencer Pringle is Executive Vice President of Retirement Solutions for Retirement Clearinghouse and is responsible for business-to-consumer strategy, sales, operations, and product management and development. He serves as president of the firm’s Broker Dealer and Annuity Agency. Pringle brings more than 19 years of financial services
industry experience to Retirement Clearinghouse, most recently as a Director at Fidelity Investments, where he led several functions including their High Net Worth, Mass Affluent, and Small Business Retirement organizations. Previously, at T. Rowe Price, Pringle was Vice President of Retirement Plan Services, overseeing their 401(k) service centers nationally.

Pringle earned his B.A. degree in Economics from the University of South Florida. His principal licenses include Municipal Securities, General Securities, and General Security Sales. He is also a registered Life Insurance agent.
