Robert L. Johnson
Chairman, Chief Executive
Officer & Co-Founder
Mr. Johnson is Chairman, Chief Executive
Officer and Co-Founder of RLJ Development, LLC. Mr. Johnson has held longstanding senior
roles in the travel and leisure industries, serving on the Boards of Directors
of both Hilton and US Airways. He is the Founder and Chairman of The RLJ
Companies. The RLJ Companies is an innovative business network that owns
or holds interests in a diverse portfolio of companies in the banking/financial
services, real estate, hospitality, professional sports, automotive, film production
and gaming industries.
Thomas J. Baltimore, Jr.
Co-Founder & President
Mr. Baltimore is Co-Founder and
President of RLJ Development, LLC and has direct day-to-day
responsibility for all of the company’s activities. RLJ Development
is a privately-held real estate investment company founded
and led by Robert L. Johnson and Thomas J. Baltimore, Jr.
Mr. Baltimore is a seasoned and experienced hospitality
executive. Prior
to launching RLJ Development, he was with Hilton Hotels Corporation
as a Vice President, Development and Finance and a Vice President,
Gaming Development. Mr. Baltimore also worked for Marriott
Corporation holding various positions in the company including
Vice President Business, Development for Host Marriott Services
(a spinoff entity from Host Marriott Corporation). Prior
to his employment with Marriott, Mr. Baltimore was a staff
auditor for Price Waterhouse.
Mr. Baltimore earned a B.S. degree from
the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia
in 1985 and an M.B.A. from the Colgate Darden Graduate School
of Business Administration at the University of Virginia in
1991. He serves on the
Urban Land Institute’s Hotel Development Council and
the Hilton Hotel Corporation’s Owner’s Advisory
Board, and was recently elected to Marriott’s MINA Board. Mr.
Baltimore was a recipient of the 1997 Baume & Mercier/Forbes
magazine award recognizing “Ten Rising Business Stars
of Our Time.”
