Our Stories Films

Created in 2006 by Robert L. Johnson in partnership with Bob and Harvey Weinstein of The Weinstein Company, Our Stories Films finances and produces theatrical motion pictures that showcase the talents of people of color on both sides of the camera and throughout the creative process, targeting the underserved audience for family/urban comedies.

Our Stories Films is the first motion picture studio where the “greenlight” decisions are made exclusively by people of color. We seek out commercial, high concept projects and employ recognized as well as newly discovered writers, directors and actors.
